Dear Parent / Carer,

Cyngor Ynys Môn requires every school to hold six after-school training sessions for staff this year. Every member of staff must attend. Each school chooses its own evenings, but Clwb y Gollen runs every night, so whichever evening we pick, the club has to close. Clwb y Gollen will be closed on these five evenings:

• Tuesday 17 November 2026
• Thursday 28 January 2027
• Tuesday 2 March 2027
• Thursday 27 May 2027
• Thursday 17 June 2027

The sixth session comes too soon for us to give you fair notice, so we have made special arrangements for that evening. The club will run as usual.

We have removed the five dates from MyChildAtSchool. You will not see them in the app and you cannot book them. We are giving you the dates now so you have time to arrange other childcare.

If you booked 17 November

Some families had already booked a place for Tuesday 17 November. The school has cancelled those bookings and put the £7 back on your Clwb y Gollen balance, to use on another session. You do not need to do anything.

We are truly sorry. We hope that almost eight weeks' notice gives you enough time to make other arrangements.

We have hardly ever cancelled the club. This year the circumstances are exceptional.

Thank you for your understanding,

Gwyn Pleming
