Dear Parents and Carers,

Over the next few days you will receive an email from MyChildAtSchool (MCAS), the Bromcom parent app, inviting you to set up your account. Please do not ignore it. If the email has not arrived by the end of the week, check your spam folder.

What you need to do now

Search for MyChildAtSchool in the App Store or Google Play, download the app, and create your account. You must use the same email address the school holds for you. No other address will work.

We close for the summer on Friday 17 July. If you set up your account this week and hit a problem, we can fix it before we close. If you wait until the holidays, we cannot help until September. If you run into trouble, contact the school office and we will help.

That is all for now. There is nothing to order or pay for yet.

What happens in September

Bromcom goes live and replaces School Gateway. From then on it will handle all school communication, payments, and booking places at Clwb y Gollen. More information will follow in September.

Clwb y Gollen

Nothing changes for our regular users. Everyone who uses the club regularly can carry on exactly as before.

What is new is that the system will let any parent book an extra evening when a place is free. We have spaces on some evenings, and from September the occasional user can take them up through the app.

We are a pilot school

Anglesey Council (Cyngor Ynys Môn) has decided to change provider and chosen our school as one of its pilot schools. That brings benefits, but it also means some parts of the system may not be perfect from day one. The Welsh translation may be incomplete in places, and some features may not be fully set up for our school yet. We are working with Bromcom and the Council to sort these things out.
